A Message from our President |
As we gather for the final newsletter of 2025, just a week before Christmas, I want to reflect on what has been a truly eventful and inspiring year for the Terrace Bay Superior Seniors Club for Adults 50 Plus.
• ✨ We embraced our commitment to inclusivity and to ensure that everyone feels welcome by adding to the Club’s name— “for Adults 50 Plus”.
• 🕕 We extended our hours into the evening, opening the doors from 6pm to 8pm so more members could enjoy activities that fit their schedules,
• 🌐 We launched our very own website, terracebayseniors50plus.ca, complete with a newsletter every two weeks. This has given our club a stronger identity and a clear way to keep everyone informed and connected.
From lively games to coffee chats, fitness classes to friendly banter, you’ve filled our Centre with energy, laughter, and countless unforgettable moments. These changes have strengthened our identity and brought new energy to our community
Looking ahead to 2026, I’m excited to promise this and more: new activities, familiar favorites, and maybe even a few surprises (don’t worry, only the fun kind—unless it’s trivia night!).
On behalf of our team, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with joy, friendship, and good company. Here’s to another year of fun and community spirit!

Exploring Social Groups for Adults 50+
Think social life slows down after 50? Ha! That’s when the fun really starts 😉. Senior centres and community organizations are practically bursting with groups that prove retirement isn’t about slowing down—it’s about showing up (and maybe showing off a little).
From book clubs where the gossip is juicier than the plot, to dance classes where two left feet are totally welcome, these groups are tailor‑made for curious minds and lively spirits. Coffee, laughter, and the occasional “I can’t believe I tried that!” moment are all part of the package.
Joining isn’t just about penciling something into your calendar—it’s about making new friends, learning skills you didn’t know you wanted, and keeping body and mind happily on their toes (sometimes literally). Retirement years? More like rewirement years—plugging into new adventures, connections, and plenty of laughs 😎.

Superior Classics Car Club Supports Seniors Club 🎉
The Superior Classics Car Club recently presented a generous cheque to the Terrace Bay Superior Seniors Club in appreciation of the outstanding volunteer efforts at Dragfest 2025. Nearly 40 of our members gave their time and energy to help make the event a success (final count to be confirmed by Colleen).
This wonderful gesture reflects the strong partnership between our community organizations and the value of volunteerism. We are proud of our members who stepped up to support Dragfest and grateful to the Car Club for recognizing their contributions.. |
