I’ve been part of this wonderful community since 2014 and have proudly served as Program Director since 2017. I enjoy friendly competition in darts, Mexican Train Dominoes, and shuffleboard, but nothing beats a good cup of coffee shared with fellow members and great conversation.
I moved to Terrace Bay at the end of 2011. From September 2012 to March 2024 I enjoyed working as the Office Coordinator for Terrace Bay Superior Seniors. From June 2015 to March 2024 I also worked as the Coordinator for the Community Health Transportation program coordinating and booking both the passengers and drivers for the Health Van. Following my retirement I was elected as a member of the Seniors Board of Directors in November 2024 and oversee Membership.
Wes Fenton brings over five decades of leadership, technical expertise, and public service to the board. A retired Chief of Police with 25 years of distinguished service in Terrace Bay, Ontario, Wes has continued to apply his strategic and operational insight as a Process Specialist since 2002. His early career in mechanical operations and heavy equipment maintenance reflects a hands-on foundation in engineering, supported by his studies in Diesel Engineering at Red River College. Wes is deeply rooted in community values and governance. His steady leadership and practical wisdom make him a trusted voice in boardroom decision-making.
Since moving to Terrace Bay in 1978, Ive traded city streets for fresh air, open spaces, and the beauty of Lake Superior at my doorstep. I,ve never tired of of the outdoors here, and i find joy in the small town spirit that brings people together. At the Terrace Bay seniors Club, I look after newsletters and publicity, helping to keep our members connected and our community informed. What began as a change of scenery has become a way of life-one rooted in nature, friendship, and the pride of calling Terrace Bay home.
As a member of the executive Bob enjoys running the Dishwasher during the meals.He is active in pool, shuffleboard, recreational pickleball, and darts.His favorite activity is Monday morning coffee with his many friends he has made through the club.
Retired—but don’t let that fool you. Life’s anything but quiet with my wife Colleen, our parrot Katchi (who thinks he’s in charge), our dog Sasha (who knows she is), two cats named Kit and Kat (yes, really), and fish named Fish (they’re not much for conversation).
I spend my days helping out at the Terrace Bay Superior Seniors Club for Adults 50+, doing whatever needs doing—whether it’s setting up chairs, sharing a laugh, or pretending I know how to work the coffee machine. The company’s great, the activities are lively, and the stories are even better.
