TerraceBaySeniors50Plus.ca has seen a welcome rise in traffic over the past few months, showing that more community members are discovering the value of a local online hub designed specifically for seniors 50+. Despite this encouraging growth, the website remains under‑utilized, with many features and resources still not reaching the audience they were created for.

Recent changes have also affected the site’s visibility. The link to AI Health Care, a tool that previously offered helpful guidance and information, is no longer available. The Slate Islands Book Store link—once a convenient way to explore local history and literature—has also been removed. As well is missing the link to the fortune telling application - Devon the Psychic. These missing resources highlight the need for continued updates, clearer navigation, and renewed awareness of what the site can offer.

TerraceBaySeniors50Plus.ca has the potential to be a central gathering place for information, events, learning, and community connection. With more consistent use and feedback from local seniors, it can grow into a stronger, more vibrant digital resource for everyone in Terrace Bay and the surrounding area.

The increased traffic shows the interest is there. Now it’s time to turn that interest into full engagement.

Our club didn’t just happen—it was willed into existence by the unstoppable Joan Clark and a crew of early members who could turn a legion hall, a church basement, or even a half‑renovated school into a good time. From “kitchen showers” to fundraisers involving knife‑sharpening and car‑washing, this group did it all… and somehow still had the energy to dress up for Hawaiian night using toilet paper and tape.

Curious how we grew from 50 members to the bustling, 250‑plus powerhouse we are today? Want to know who waxed the floors, who installed the pool tables, and who bravely tackled post‑construction cleanup? Or how drag races helped fund Christmas dinner?

Terrace Bay Superior Seniors Club marked its 25th anniversary with an evening full of laughter, memories, and well‑earned celebration. A Note from Colleen

Hello friends,

I wanted to take a moment to provide an update on my current condition. Over the past few weeks, I have been monitoring my health closely and have been following the guidance of my healthcare team. While progress has been gradual, I am seeing some positive changes and remain hopeful.

I continue to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition, adequate rest, and following any prescribed treatments or therapies. Some days are more challenging than others, but I am consistently working on recovery and overall wellbeing.

Your support has been invaluable throughout this process, and I am grateful for all the messages and encouragement I have received. I will keep you updated as things evolve and appreciate your continued understanding and support.
